The Shops at Riverwoods in Provo, UT has announced a major renovation to transform it into a trendy, hip, pedestrian-friendly outdoor mall according to the new owners, Tigriswoods LLC, as reported by the Deseret News on May 7, 2010.
A big change will be the road down the middle of the shops being tore out and replaced with a pedestrian mall. All parking will be on the back-sides of the mall with parking no longer available on the east-west street.
When completed this fall the atmosphere will be new and fresh. Included will be plenty of seating areas, water and fire features, and a brand new stage area for all types of entertainment. Outdoor heaters are being installed to keep customers warm in the cold.
New operations opening include a new reception center for weddings and business meetings, a welcome addition for space-starved businesses. Provo, Utah entertainment opportunities receive a major upgrade with the addition of a 50,000 square-foot center that will include a golf feature and, for the first time in Utah County, a surfing machine.
